Frank sledged the post and the Bug Hotel is ready for business!

Tony cycled up to the Westpark Campus early with the stake before the expected rain and wind hit.

 


Fortunately, the groundsman Frank was available to sledge the stake into the ground so the bug hotel could be fixed to it.



So next to secure the hotel to it :)

A bonus was the small environmental sensor managed to make contact with Tola Park so that we now have temperature data for the bug hotel.

 The weather was a bit damp to start out trip as we met outside Lidl at 9:45. But our driver, Colman, from Shannon Tours and our 15 seater minibus were excellent :) Our first stop was at the Michael Cusack Centre , which luckily we had pretty much to ourselves and our guides Agnes, Shelia and Martin were very knowledgeable and made our visit fun. Health and Wellbeing Toolboxes

Rebecca McLaughlin ( Health and Wellbeing Manager,  Irish Men's Sheds Association,  rebecca@menssheds.ie ) stopped by the shed earlier today to deliver well being toolboxes. We recently had chair yoga and cooking sessions to promote wellbeing. We now have 10 of these now. 9 for other sheds :) They are filled with information sheets on how to help yourself maintain good mental and physical well being. Sustainable Development Goals met: By providing an up-to-date collection of leaflets regarding mental and physical health (SDG 3, SDG 4) and where to obtain these services (SDG 17).
