Bug Hotel had a grand day out in the Lá Fhéile Pádraig parade in Shannon Town

The Mens Shed happily lent the bug hotel to Shannon Town Tidy Towns for their parade float.



The weather was poor on the day (though dry before and after the parade!) and the Mens Shed car broke down so I didn't get as many photos of their float as I would have liked.

 The weather was a bit damp to start out trip as we met outside Lidl at 9:45. But our driver, Colman, from Shannon Tours and our 15 seater minibus were excellent :) Our first stop was at the Michael Cusack Centre , which luckily we had pretty much to ourselves and our guides Agnes, Shelia and Martin were very knowledgeable and made our visit fun. Highly recommended. And the local scone ands tea and coffee were delicious and very welcome giving us all a chance to discuss the history explained by our guides. Health and Wellbeing Toolboxes

Rebecca McLaughlin ( Health and Wellbeing Manager,  Irish Men's Sheds Association,  rebecca@menssheds.ie ) stopped by the shed earlier today to deliver well being toolboxes. We recently had chair yoga and cooking sessions to promote wellbeing. We now have 10 of these now. 9 for other sheds :) They are filled with information sheets on how to help yourself maintain good mental and physical well being. Sustainable Development Goals met: By providing an up-to-date collection of leaflets regarding mental and physical health (SDG 3, SDG 4) and where to obtain these services (SDG 17).
